Meet Our Staff
Pastor: Jim Prichard
Rev. Jim Prichard, Jr. and his wife Sonia came to Pine Grove July, 2021. He previously served as pastor at Crowell Memorial and Palm Tree United Methodist churches in the Lincolnton area for 2 years.
Prior to that he served Delta UMC in Sandy Ridge, Stokes County for 7 years. He also served Locust UMC and Mill Grove, Balfour in Hendersonville, and began pastoral ministry at Grassy Creek UMC in State Road, NC in 2001.
Jim and Sonia served as camp managers at Elk Shoals UMC Camp in West Jefferson, NC for 8 ½ years.
God blessed them with 5 children, 13 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Pastor Jim earned a BS in human services from Gardner-Webb University. He completed Duke Divinity course of study and advanced course of study to complete educational requirements in the UMC.
Jim and Sonia especially love living here and serving the loving families that constitute Pine Grove Church.
Office Manager: Debra Stack
Debra Stack has been our Office manager at Pine Grove for several years and has tremendous knowledge of our church and community.
Debra manages the everyday communications of the church as well as organizing our membership rolls and finances.
She is an active member of the P.A.U.M.C.S.- Professional Administrators of the United Methodist Connectional Structure.
Debra and her husband Danny live in Colfax and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Choir Director and Organist: Alice Jane Jones
Alice Jane Jones is our Choir Director and Organist at Pine Grove. Alice Jane as served in this capacity at Pine Grove for more than 30 years.
Alice Jane says, “Music speaks to and from the heart and helps to set the tone for any worship service.”
She is married to her husband Jimmy. In addition to their involvement with our church they are both involved in Masonic, Shriner and EasternStar Organizations dedicated to charity, truth and loving kindness.
